Today we learned about the different generations of humans. We learned terms like ‘Millennials’ and ‘Generation X’.

I learned about tectonic plate activity and metamorphic, sedimentary, and igneous rocks. We received worksheets and went over a powerpoint presentation.

Today in geography we made weather charts.

Today in geography we watched an episode of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey  and took notes.

Today in geography we did reviews and worksheets on weather charts.

Today in geography we learned about Ocean Currents and made Weather Charts.

Today we learned more about the evolution of Earth and learned about Tectonic Plates.

In geography today we continued with the ‘Pear Island’ project. I added more detail and color to mine and perfected the coordinates of the city.

In geography we received worksheets that we had to make our own ‘pear shaped islands’ on, showing proper measurements and techniques.

In geography today we did a test on longitude and latitude, capitals and provinces, and topographic maps.

Today in geography we were put in groups and were given maps. My group mate and I did the 25 or so questions assigned with the map. This project took the whole period.

Today we studied topographic maps, compasses, Geocaching, and received cycling maps of Toronto and were told to circle certain places, like our school. We were taught how to sign up for Geocaching and watched videos on the subject. We watched a powerpoint presentation on compasses and topographic maps while also talking about World War 2.
